To the west along the RuhrtalRadweg are the Meschede districts of Wennemen and Freienohl. Freienohl - the largest district of Meschede - is located in the upper Ruhrtal, on the southern edge of the Arnsberg Forest. A tourist highlight is the Küppelturm, an approximately 25 meter high observation tower, which offers an impressive view of the surrounding villages as well as the densely wooded surroundings. Furthermore, Freienohl is the starting point of numerous hiking trails in and around the Arnsberg Forest.
To the east lies the district of Stockhausen, which is known for its historic manor "Gut Stockhausen" (first mentioned in a document in 997).
To the south lies the district of Calle, with its listed water mill and the "Caller Dom" (St. Severinus Church), which is known for its historic Randebrock organ (from 1861).
