Bremen is the geographical and administrative center of the municipality of Ense. In the center of the village and beyond are the town hall, retail stores and discounters, gastronomy, service businesses as well as banks and doctors.
The two-bay basilica of St. Lambertus was built towards the end of the 12th century. It was not until 1905/06 that the church was extended in the neo-Gothic style.
On the western edge of the village there is a former quarry, which is considered a geological attraction for the entire surrounding area. Fossils such as mussels, sponges, sea urchins or ammonites are often found in the chalk layers.
There is an e-bike charging station in front of the town hall next to the inn.
