The village of Schliprüthen, once the capital of a municipality and the seat of a court, has an attractive appearance with half-timbered houses typical of the region. The late Romanesque church has rich Baroque furnishings with altars and the organ from 1681.
The village, in which some of the houses are still arranged according to the "Prussian original cadastre", regularly achieves top rankings in the village competition "Our village has a future".
