Near the gatehouse you will find the Möhnesee tower, the Friedwald, as well as the nature reserve Hevehalbinsel, a paradise for waterfowl. On the Rennweg, south of the Möhnesee, is the new lookout tower. The climb is worth it. Up there, about 40 meters above the forest floor, a 360-degree panoramic view opens up far into the land of 1000 mountains and into the Börde region of Soest. For nature lovers, hikers and cyclists, it is a worthwhile destination and always a reason to take a break.
With its steep banks and shallow bays, the Hevearm-Hevesee nature reserve is one of the most important wintering grounds for waterfowl in Westfalen.
A habitat worth protecting and an adventure for naturalists and nature lovers.
Tip: The nature promenade with 3 viewing pulpits along the Heve peninsula.
