The district of Deilinghofen was first mentioned in documents in 1306. St. Stephen's Church, built in the 14th century, is the oldest preserved building on Hemeran city territory.
Brockhausen is home to Klusenstein Castle, a high castle built above the rugged Hönnetal valley. On the outskirts of Deilinghofen lies the Felsenmeer, Hemer's most famous sight. This unique geotope formed from collapsed caves is, like the neighboring stalactite cave "Heinrichshöhle", a very popular excursion destination in the region.
